Education and Qualifications: I was born, raised and educated in California.  My California family roots go back to the 1800’s.  After high school, I attended USC, The San Fernando Valley College of Law and am a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America.  For more than fifty years, my family owned and managed Mortuary and Cemetery operations in California. I have many years professional experience in advertising, writing and public relations and was licensed as a California Funeral Home Manager and a California Life, Fire and Casualty Agent-Broker specializing in managed healthcare.  I am a USAF veteran and long-time member of veteran service organizations.  Dale, my wife of 45 years, and I have owned property in Coulterville since 1980. We are both Charter and Lifetime members of the Northern Mariposa County History Center and since coming to Mariposa County 27 years ago, have also been contributors to the Coulterville Community Club, North Side Ambulance Association, Mariposa County DSA, the Mariposa County SPCA and many others. I have a long history of active participation in charitable, fraternal, social and community organizations as a member and officer. A long-time member of the NRA, I have received commendations from the Los Angeles Police Department and California Highway Patrol for community service.
